Earlier last year I set myself a little challenge.
To set up a Twitter account and reach 10,000 followers.
It had to be a completely new account, starting from zero. It was unaffiliated to any existing site, and I didn’t use my existing network. Just a pure experiment from scratch.
I called the Twitter account ‘Impossible’.
And it took just three months to reach 10,000.
Don’t ask me why I started this. It was simply curiosity, and I wanted to learn what makes Twitter tick. And I learnt a lot.
It’s not just about the numbers…
Of course, Twitter followers on their own mean nothing. So a key part of my little challenge was engagement.
The average Twitter engagement is 0.7%. I had to make sure I was above this.
Guess what I got?
My engagement rate was 13% (On my most best tweet. [And an average of over 5-6% on every single post])
So how did I get 10,000 followers and a 13% engagement rate?
When I started, I didn’t really have a strategy. It took a few weeks to get going. But after that, a clear and effective routine started to take shape. I’m no expert! But here’s how it worked.
1. Choose your topic carefully
First of all, you’ve got to know how Twitter works. I’ve spent a few years on the platform with a personal account. Much of that time was spent watching from the sidelines.
I noticed that Twitter is great for three things:
- News
- Expert insight into specific topics
- Light-hearted relief
So I knew I had to choose something that fitted at least two of those three things.
I chose adventure/action sports which easily slipped into both ‘news’ and ‘light-hearted relief’.
I also knew there was a open hole for this type of thing. There are the big giants like Red Bull. But in terms of small competition, it’s surprisingly slim pickings.
Do the same with your Twitter process. Look for the gaps in the market. Look for the conversations that aren’t being had. And then start those conversations.
2. Post engaging content
Twitter growth is simple when you think about it.
You post cool stuff. People retweet it. More people see it, and follow you.
You don’t need to make it any more complicated than that. That means your number one priority is to post cool stuff!
Social Media Examiner explains that you’ll get 150% more retweets if you post an image. So I decided that every tweet must have an image attached.
Make sure every single tweet has value. Make it an interesting photograph, a useful piece of data, or a link to something valuable. If it’s not worth saying, don’t say it.
You can also boost engagement by asking questions, keeping your tweets short, and actively asking for retweets.
3. Tweet less (yes, really)
There’s a weird myth that high-volume tweeting produces a better engagement rate. It’s just wrong. (Again, Social Media Examiner will back me up). Tweeting too much drowns out the important things you’re saying. And it dilutes your content. It might annoy people too.
I stuck to one-two tweets a day. That’s all I needed. In total, I only sent 52 tweets in those three months. You can try a few more, but keep it to a minimum. Don’t overwhelm your audience, and don’t drown your content.
4. Start following people
Okay, so far I’ve taught you what to post. But how do you get those first followers?
I found this super tricky too. In fact, the first 100 followers are the hardest you’ll ever get. It took me a little while to figure out the secret, but it’s really easy.
Just start following people. That’s it.
(Marketing expert, Neil Patel, has taken the time to follow 100,000 people! He’s onto something.)
Make a list of Twitter accounts that have a target audience that you want, and save them to your ‘lists’.
For me, this was action sports mags, outdoor clothing companies etc. I’m sure you can pick plenty of accounts from your own chosen niche.
Now, load up the last few tweets from those accounts. Then follow anyone who favorited, retweeted, or commented on it. These are the most active and engaging followers, and you want them!
Between 30%-40% will usually follow you back. That’s the beauty of Twitter – most people are happy to follow.
Warning
Don’t go crazy here. If you follow more than 100 people in a day, Twitter starts to get suspicious. Any more than this, and you’re just spamming people. You can (and will) be suspended from Twitter if you go too far.
But general following is fine. It’s encouraged.
5. Spend 15 minutes doing this every day
Building a Twitter following is a daily activity. You’ve got to be quite relentless about this. Schedule 15 minutes a day to post something cool. Then spend some time following people in your niche.
I did this every day for three months, and I ended up following around 8,000 people. About 40% followed back, and the remaining 7,000 came from retweets and organic growth.
If you think this is a waste of time, look at Neil Patel’s Twitter account above. He has followed 100,000 people since he joined the platform. And no-one would accuse him of wasting precious marketing time!
6. Retweet, favourite and comment
Twitter isn’t just a one-way street. If you don’t join in the conversation, you’re just shouting at the universe. Twitter is a conversation. Get involved.
Retweet useful information that you saw on someone’s timeline. Write a little comment, or just favorite their tweet. Don’t be that guy who just blasts out tweets without response.
I must applaud Jason, Bitcatcha’s social media manager, for this in particular. When someone interacts with Bitcatcha on Twitter, he responds with a thank you. He also runs their website through our speed checker and lets them know how it’s doing.
7. Put links on your website, Facebook, and email signature
I didn’t have this luxury, but it will be a good way for you to get a few hundred followers quickly. (I did end up building a rudimentary website, to experiment with posting linked content on Twitter. But it wasn’t a factor in my 10k.)
Put your Twitter link in your email signature to capture all your colleagues. That’s an easy way to build your network. Then use Twitter’s API to put a ‘follow’ button on your website. Simple. Easy. Effective.
8. Set a goal
Nothing happens until you set a goal. So go for it. Think big. Why not shoot for 10,000? Or 100,000? Or a million?
One thing I did wrong…
… Was failing to set out without a broader strategy.
Since this was just an experiment, I didn’t have a bigger plan.
You need to figure out how your Twitter presence fits into your overall business model. Do you want to drive more sales or web traffic? Do you want to build awareness or tap into a particularly lucrative market?
That’s one thing I didn’t do, and now I’ll have to work backwards to figure out how to use this resource.

Even if you tweet quality content and make an effort to engage with your followers, it can often be hard to build up your numbers. A few strategies can help you grow your following over time; with consistent effort, a business can collect 10,000 followers or more.
Tweet, Tweet, Tweet
The more you tweet, the more followers you're likely to amass over time. While this is a fairly common-sense idea, a 2012 study proves it to be true. Social-media monitoring firm Beevolve analyzed the profiles and tweets of 36 million Twitter users; their results indicate that users who have tweeted more than 10,000 times tend to have 1,001 to 5000 followers, while users with less than 1000 tweets under their belt usually have between 51 and 100 followers. Creating lots of content on Twitter will also help you get comfortable with the platform and figure out which tweets appeal most to your followers.
Follow the Right People
To increase your own follower numbers, it helps to do some strategic following yourself. Be selective about who you follow; smart choices include people in your industry, favorite bloggers and influential tweeters in your city or region. Many of these people will follow you back. Some may even retweet you, which introduces your content to a whole new audience of potential followers. Before you know it, your following and your influence will both grow.
Help People Find You
If you make it easy for people to find you on Twitter, you'll end up gaining more followers. Add links to your Twitter account to your blog, your website, or any other social networks where you're visible. Your Twitter bio can also be a valuable way to attract followers. A clever, unique summary of your brand, combined with a quality photo or image, can catch people's attention and win your business some new followers.
Don't Take Shortcuts
It takes time and effort to build a large Twitter following for your brand or business. Be wary of schemes that promise to get you thousands of followers overnight. Many websites exist where users can buy huge quantities of Twitter followers at relatively low prices. Steer clear of these services: Purchased followers are usually passive bots with no real person behind the accounts. These followers will never engage with you on Twitter or become customers; outside of boosting your follower numbers, they'll add nothing to your Twitter presence.

برای تول باکس خیلی کد هست ولی برای یخچال و کابینت اصلا نیست. فارسی و انگلیسی رو زیر و رو کردم پیدا نشد.

پاسخ : فایل مشخص شده رو دانلود کنید و در پوشه برنامه قرار بدید ، البته با نصب ران تایم visual studio 2010 مشکل برطرف خواهد شد
